Accessibility Statement
Last updated: November 8, 2025
Pump Price is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
Pump Price conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Accessibility Features
VoiceOver Support
Pump Price is fully compatible with Apple's VoiceOver screen reader. Every interactive element includes:
- Descriptive labels: Clear identification of buttons, filters, and station information
- Contextual hints: Helpful instructions for complex interactions (e.g., "Double tap to open navigation options")
- Proper traits: Elements are correctly identified as buttons, links, headers, etc.
- Logical reading order: Content is announced in a meaningful sequence
Dynamic Type
The app fully supports iOS Dynamic Type, allowing text to scale based on your system preferences:
- All text scales from Extra Small to Extra Extra Extra Large
- No fixed font sizes - everything adjusts dynamically
- Layout adapts to accommodate larger text
- Minimum scale factors applied where needed to maintain readability
Color & Contrast
- High contrast: All text meets WCAG AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Dark Mode: Fully supported with optimized colors for low-light environments
- System high contrast mode: Respects iOS high contrast settings
- No color-only communication: Information is not conveyed through color alone
Touch Targets
All interactive elements meet Apple's 44×44 point minimum tap target size:
- Buttons: 44pt or larger
- Filter chips: Properly sized with adequate spacing
- Station cards: Full card area is tappable
- Map controls: 44×44pt circular buttons
Reduce Motion
While we don't currently have a dedicated reduce motion mode, all animations use natural spring physics without jarring transitions. We plan to add full Reduce Motion support in a future update.
Keyboard Navigation (iOS External Keyboards)
- Tab key navigates between focusable elements
- Enter/Space activates buttons and links
- Escape dismisses sheets and overlays
- Arrow keys navigate lists and pickers

- External keyboard navigation
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are working to address them:
- Reduce Motion: Currently not fully supported. Animations use gentle spring physics but don't respect the system Reduce Motion setting.
- Map Accessibility: The interactive map view has limited VoiceOver support. We recommend using the list view for a better screen reader experience.
Third-Party Content
Some content comes from third-party fuel retailers (logos, station names, addresses). While we strive to present this content accessibly, we don't control the source data quality.
