Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Pump Price mobile application ("the App") operated by Pump Price ("us", "we", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pump Price is a mobile application that helps UK drivers find nearby fuel stations and compare real-time fuel prices from multiple retailers. The App provides:

  • Real-time fuel price data from 14+ UK fuel retailers
  • GPS-based location services to find nearby stations
  • Filtering and sorting tools
  • Navigation integration with third-party map apps
  • Optional Pro features (favorite stations, price alerts)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may NOT:

  • Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute fuel price data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App

5. Fuel Price Data

5.1 Accuracy

Fuel price data is sourced from publicly available APIs provided by fuel retailers. While we strive to display accurate and up-to-date information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data.

5.2 No Warranty

THE APP AND ALL FUEL PRICE DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. You acknowledge that:

  • Prices may change without notice
  • Retailers may update prices at any time
  • Data may be delayed or temporarily unavailable
  • We are not responsible for pricing errors

5.3 Third-Party Data

All fuel price data is provided by third-party fuel retailers. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for data provided by these retailers.

6. Location Services

The App uses GPS location to find nearby fuel stations. By enabling location services, you consent to the collection and use of your location as described in our Privacy Policy.

Location permission is optional. If denied, you can manually search by postcode or address.

7. In-App Purchases (Pro Features)

The App offers optional in-app purchases for Pro features, including:

  • Ad-free experience
  • Unlimited favorite stations
  • Price change alerts

7.1 Payment

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment terms and refund policies are governed by Apple's terms and conditions.

7.2 Subscriptions

Pro features are currently offered as a one-time purchase (not a subscription). This may change in future updates.

7.3 Refunds

All sales are final. Refund requests must be made through Apple's App Store according to their refund policy.

8. Advertisements

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google Mobile Ads. By using the App, you agree to see ads unless you purchase the ad-free Pro version.

Ad personalization requires your consent via App Tracking Transparency (ATT). If you deny permission, you will see non-personalized ads.

9. User Conduct

You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. You must NOT:

  • Use the App while driving or operating a vehicle
  • Rely solely on the App for critical decisions
  • Attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the App
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Pump Price and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Fuel retailer logos and brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. We use these marks solely for identification purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not liable for fuel price inaccuracies or errors
  • We are not liable for navigation errors or routing issues
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any)

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Pump Price harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Google Ads). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in UK courts.
