Information We Collect

Location Data

Purpose: "We need your location to show nearby petrol stations."

We collect your device's GPS location only when you grant permission. This data is used solely to:

  • Find fuel stations near your current location
  • Calculate distances to nearby stations
  • Sort stations by proximity to you

Storage: Your location is never stored on our servers. It is only used in real-time on your device to fetch nearby station data.

Tracking & Advertising Data

Purpose: "This identifier will be used to deliver personalized ads to you."

If you consent to App Tracking Transparency (ATT), we may use your device's advertising identifier to:

  • Show personalized advertisements (via Google Mobile Ads)
  • Measure ad performance

Your Choice: You can deny tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If denied, we will show non-personalized ads instead.

Analytics Data (Optional)

With your explicit consent, we may collect anonymous usage data to improve the app:

  • App crashes and errors
  • Feature usage statistics
  • Performance metrics

No Personal Information: Analytics data is fully anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally.

GDPR Compliance (EU/EEA Users)

Google Mobile Ads

Fuel Retailer APIs

We fetch real-time fuel prices from publicly available APIs provided by fuel retailers (BP, Shell, ESSO, etc.). We do not share your personal information with these services.

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage Only: Your favorite stations and app preferences are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

No Server Storage: We do not operate backend servers or databases. Your location, searches, and usage data are not stored anywhere except on your device.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Pump Price is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

You have the right to:

  • Deny or revoke location permission
  • Deny or revoke tracking permission (ATT)
  • Opt out of analytics
  • Delete the app and all local data
