How do I enable location services?
To enable location services for Pump Price:
- Open iOS Settings
- Scroll down and tap "Pump Price"
- Tap "Location"
- Select "While Using the App" or "Ask Next Time"
Why are some fuel prices missing?
Not all fuel retailers provide real-time price data through public APIs. If a station doesn't show a price for a specific fuel type, it means that data is currently unavailable from the retailer.
How do I save a favorite station?
Tap the heart icon on any station card to save it as a favorite. This is a Pro feature. You'll need to upgrade to Pump Price Pro to access favorites and price alerts.
How do I remove ads?
To remove ads, upgrade to Pump Price Pro:
- Open the app and go to Settings
- Tap "Upgrade to Pro"
- Complete the one-time purchase
- Ads will be removed immediately
What's the difference between E10, E5, B7, and SDV?
- E10: Standard Petrol (95 octane) - contains up to 10% ethanol
- E5: Premium Petrol (97-99 octane) - contains up to 5% ethanol
- B7: Standard Diesel - contains up to 7% biodiesel
- SDV: Premium Diesel (Super Diesel Variant) - higher cetane rating
How do I change the search radius?
To adjust the search radius:
- Open the app
- Tap the "Radius" filter chip at the top
- Select from 3, 5, 10, 15, or 20 miles
- Results will update automatically
You can also change the default radius in Settings.
Can I use the app without location permission?
Yes! If you deny location permission, you can manually search by postcode or address. Tap the search icon in the top-left corner to enter a location manually.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
To restore your purchase:
- Open the app and go to Settings
- Tap "Pro"
- Tap "Restore Purchase"
- Sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase
Why am I seeing ads after purchasing Pro?
If you purchased Pro but still see ads, try these steps: 1) Close and reopen the app, 2) Restart your device, 3) Tap 'Restore Purchase' in Settings → Pro. If the issue persists, contact support.
How do price change alerts work?
Price change alerts are a Pro feature. Once enabled, the app monitors fuel prices at your favorite stations. You'll receive a push notification when a price increases or decreases for the fuel types you're monitoring.
Which navigation apps are supported?
Pump Price integrates with Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze. When you tap a station card, you'll be able to choose your preferred navigation app. Make sure the app you want to use is installed on your device.
How do I enable Dark Mode?
To change the app theme:
- Go to Settings
- Tap "Appearance"
- Choose Light, Dark, or Match System
Is my data private?
Yes! Your location data never leaves your device and is only used to find nearby stations. We don't store your search history or personal information. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
